Why tiers
Most people choosing a game want one quick answer before the details: how strongly would you recommend it? A tier gives that answer at a glance. The review underneath gives the reasons, the caveats and who the game suits.
Who writes it
A small group of players and reviewers with many years of games behind them, plus friends who help us check co-op, family play and accessibility settings. Nobody scores a game they have not played.
How it is paid for
It is not paid for by anyone else. There are no adverts, affiliate links, sponsored reviews or products for sale. We host no games, hold no accounts and take no payments.
Keeping it fair
A reviewer with a personal or professional link to a game hands it to someone else, and we note that on the page. We do not accept gifts in return for coverage.
The artwork
Every cover was made for us in the visual style of its game, from pixel dioramas to felt and cardboard. None of it is official art or a screenshot, and no real people appear.
